  1. Recently a few people asked me if I knew of any Windows Specific 
  2. Bulletin Boards. Well I have come up with what I think is a 
  3. reasonable list. These numbers were compiled from the origin lines 
  4. of various folks who monitor the national Windows conference. They 
  5. are not in any particular order. I have tried to pick out some 
  6. boards from all parts of the country to give a broad base to those 
  7. of us who hate large phone bills. Any of the numbers here is 
  8. guaranteed to have at least one interested windows user. All are 
  9. guaranteed to carry the national Windows conference. What is not 
  10. guaranteed is whether they have a ggod selection of the latest 
  11. version of Shareware Winapps (although it is a safe bet). My 
  12. personal suggestion is to call any number that has a 206 area 
  13. code. This area code is the one which Microsoft calls home. It 
  14. seems that the folks around Redmond, WA have a better base of 
  15. software and knowledge than the rest of us just because of their 
  16. proximity. (There's also quite a few people who run bulletin 
  17. boards and work for Microsoft).

  19. You may do with this list whatever you like; I make no claims as 
  20. to its accuracy. Please don't modify the present numbers unless 
  21. you know them to be incorrect. If you like, add some of your 
  22. favorite Windows numbers and send it off again. But if you do this 
  23. please append your name and identify which entries you made. If 
  24. you can, get me a copy of the appended version (I have taken it 
  25. upon myself to become the Windows archive).
